Delicious, Juicy, Fall-Apart Tender, Baked Ribs!

I always cook ribs on the grill.  But I was stepping out for a bit, and needed to slow-cook them without having to babysit the temp on the grill, so...into the oven they went.  And these turned out to be the best ribs I have ever made (my husband says so!)...and the easiest!

Baby Back Ribs
Salt & Pepper
Dried Thyme
Dried Sage
Onion Powder
Barbeque Sauce (whatever you like, I used KC Original)

Preheat oven to 225 degrees F.

Season the meat side of the Baby Backs liberally with the Salt & Pepper, Thyme, Sage and Onion Powder.  Place meat-side down in a casserole or baking dish to fit your rib slabs, I did a 1/2 slab so it fit in a 9x9" dish.  Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 3 hours.  Remove from oven and place the slab of ribs, meat-side up on a broiler pan in the oven, and increase the heat to 275 degrees F.

After 15 minutes, baste the top (meat-side) with your favorite Barbeque Sauce and cook for 15 minutes.  Turn over, baste the other side, and cook another 15 minutes.  One more turn, meat-side up again, baste one more time with the barbeque sauce and cook for a final 15 minutes.

Ready to serve, and these will be the most tender, delicious ribs you have ever tasted!  I served the with some garlic mashed potatoes and corn on the cob, a perfect late summer meal!
